Data Deletion

You can delete your Palia Companion account and the information tied to it at any time. Here's how, and what happens.

How to delete your account

  1. Log in and open Settings.
  2. Scroll to Delete account and confirm.

Can't log in? Email contact@paliacompanion.app from the address on your account (or tell us your Discord or Google account if you signed in with one) and we'll delete it for you.

What happens next

  • Straight away: you're signed out and your account is scheduled for deletion.
  • For 30 days: you can change your mind. Logging back in during this time restores your account as it was.
  • After 30 days: your account is permanently deleted in our nightly clean-up. This can't be undone.

What gets deleted

  • Your sign-in details, email address and any Discord or Google connection.
  • Your profile: display name, picture, about me, theme and notification settings.
  • Pictures you uploaded: your profile picture and party or community covers.
  • Parties you host (and their chats and roles), your party sign-ups, attendance and ratings you gave or received.
  • Communities you own (and their chats and announcements), and your community memberships.
  • Your messages in Global Chat, party and community chats, and your whispers.
  • Friends and friend requests, notifications, trackers, collections, templates and reminders.

What may remain

  • Reports you made about other people's messages are kept without your name, so moderators can still act on them.
  • Our hosting providers' backups may hold deleted data for a short time before it's overwritten.

Want a copy of your information before deleting? Email contact@paliacompanion.app and we'll send it within 30 days.
